It all depends on what classes you are taking.

Maxwell D on 31 July, 2008 at 9:18 pm #

first find out how many classes you have and then a folder and notebook for each class. several pencils, they are so easy to lose
calculators never hurt anyone
you want a purse for your make up and lunch money.
a back pack always helps
the most important thing though is dont get too anxious and dont let people bring you down. school is awesome and terrible. when its awesome, embrace it. when its terrible just wait it out.
dont let anybody bring you down, be confident and nice and itll be like you’ve been there your whole life

This is what I needed when I was in grade 10:

- 4 binders
- dividers
- pencils / pens
- lined paper
- geometry set
- scientific calculator

Those are the basic things that you will need. You teacher will tell you if need to buy anything extra.

hope this helps!

It depends on how many courses you have, in canada its 4 a semester. So get yourself 4 binders and dividers to divide each binder. You will need pencil crayons, pencils, and pens. Some teachers don’t allow pencils, but math teachers usually prefer you to use a pencil. Oh and a pencil case for all of that. You’ll also need a geometry set, you know protracters etc. I think that’s it. Oh a highlighter is good too, for notes. And maybe a couple seperate folders to hand in assignments. Like a good thing to do is to get page protectors and a see through plastic binder to hand in assignments in.

If I were you I would buy the basics like notebooks and paper, but wait until after the first day of school to buy anything else. The teachers can sometimes be picky and want specific things.

Ask the school.

They must have, handed out a list before the school was out, so go see the principal and find out what is needed.

But general items remains the same.

Special items like instruments for chem lab, drawing items or stencils, or geometry set, may be needed depends on the courses you are taking, some schools supply them and then take it way for use by next class at the end of the year.

But make sure you have what is needed, most stores usually run out of them and it is very difficult to find once the school starts.

obviously, you’ll want to start with a bookbag. i also carry a purse with me to carry personal things like sanitary products (pads), makeup, etc.. but that’s up to you. you’ll also want tons of notebook paper, pencils, pens, notebooks, a calculator, a dictionary, erasers, a pencil sharpener, highlighters, a calculator (talk w/ the math teacher before buying one), colored pencils/markers (for projects), glue, scissors, and a protractor for now. :) good luck!

-Usually Ti83 graphic calculator Texas Instrument safest choice lots of schools won’t let you use anything else
-Graph paper
-Binders
-loose leaf(lots)
-dividers(pocket ones best)
-Pencils
-Pencil crayons
-Pens Red, black, blue (all these colors for correcting)
-Highlighters
-White out
-Dictionary
-Geometry set (get a good one its better to get an expensive one once then 5 cheap ones after they break)
-Ruler
-Folders to bring work home rather then dragging whole bag home
-Reinforcements
-One of the whole punch things that go on the rings of your binders are always handy

Notebooks with subject dividers with a folder for handouts works well too.
