Roger sounds better today then when he was with Supertramp and it’s great to see him in concert. I hope he keeps touring and comes to Canada soon. I loved Supertramp but only when Roger was with them. Anyways thanks for posting this video of Roger singing another one of his hits. John is great too but Roger is my favorite. Roger also has some great solo albums I wish people would post more of those songs like Along Came Mary, Lovers in the Wind, Only Because of You…
School is just an awesome song. Roger Hodgson performs this with an orchestra, with a band and solo. I agree his is one of my favorite artist and a very talented songwriter. It’s great having all these videos of him to watch. He is even better today but it’s good to see his career over the years. Haven’t seen ST since 2002 but thanks to Roger I don’t miss them. Roger is Supertramp the voice and the writer of my favorite songs.
I saw Rogers Montreal concert and it was phenomenal. One reviewer wrote - There are few vocalists instantly recognizable from the first few bars of a song but Roger Hodgson is certainly one of that unique group. The singer/songwriter of Supertramp, his voice is as unmistakable as the distinct keyboard sound of his early hits. I have never been to a concert where the artist had so much heart and connection with the audience. And the feel good experience stays with you after the show is over.
Rogers music is so special, so deep, so meaningful and really speaks to me. Every song he has written and composed is a gem, Roger is surely a man full of talent; he is simply a musical genius. I have seen him a few times live and I can say that his concerts have been amazing, unforgettable - the best concerts I have seen in my life.
Roger Hogdson is a total revelation to me. So many of his songs are my all time favorites: Breakfast in America, The Logical Song, The Long Way Home, Dreamer, Give A Little Bit (all of them performed by Roger but recognized by many as Supertramp songs). Roger Hogdson is the genius behind them all as he was the original composer, writer as well as the voice, guitar, etc of 29 of Supertramp’s 32 Hits on the Record Charts.
Roger is my favorite artist and one of the most distinctive and beautiful voices of today, he was originally the voice of Supertramp. Co-founding the band in 1969, he was the lead singer and writer of nearly all their hits throughout the seventies and early eighties. Since leaving Supertramp in 1983 he has had a series of critically acclaimed and successful solo albums. Roger has put out a DVD, LIVE IN MONTREAL, the first live release from Roger, and it catches Roger Hodgson at his very best.
I love watching Roger perform one of his classic hits. He is amazing and he sounds even better today. Keep touring Roger. You are an master composer, singer, songwriter. How about a new album?
Thanks for posting this Supertramp with Roger Hodgson singing another one of his hits. I loved this band and I love Roger’s music. I hope they do a reunion someday, but without Roger it wouldn’t be Supertramp. I also love Rogers solo albums and he has been touring the last few years keeping this great music alive and introducing it to thousands of new fans. This really shows how fantastic Supertramp were because of Roger.
Roger is a musical genius, he composed, wrote teh muisc for, and sings all his own songs. Roger and Rick wrote separately, just like Lennon and McCartney. The songs Roger wrote are the songs he sings (like Dreamer, Breakfast in America, Logical Song, Take the Long Way Home, Fools Overture, Give a Little Bit..) and the songs Rick wrote (Goodbye Stranger, Rudy, Bloody Well Right) are the songs his sings.

I understand the whole copywrite thing, but….to go after small time youtube folks like us who aren’t out for any profit or anything, just doing stuff for fun….I just don’t get it. My vid that got removed was just 60 seconds of me playing part of the logical song on piano! O well.

Megakippers was hired by Roger Hodgson. She is his management representative. Neither of them are nice people. Roger hires people like her & ‘inyoureyes1000′ to do this kind of crap, then post comments on his videos to promote him. Pretty fucking sad. I’m no longer a fan. I don’t take kindly to threats by washed up greedy rock stars or the losers they hire.

School is yet another gem from Roger Hodgson. Seeing him in concert is an amazing experience. Roger is currently on tour.
Roger’s music is still and will always be Super! There are few songwriters left who can pen such classics. Timeless!!!! Awesome!!!!
I get the impression that Roger got into his own voice more than the rest of the band and their initial goal? Then became more pop than rock.
I wonder if school is where Roger & his hired PR henchwoman MEGAKIPPERS learned to crap on his fans.
How, you ask? With emails threatening to have non-profit/for fun videos made by fans(even those that give credit) removed. (accounts have even been removed) Why, you ask? Ultimately, greed. Their only email to me included a ‘do it or else’ ultimatum that was intended for their financial gain. Would you give your hard earned money to go see someone who does this to his fans?
